US National Snow SculptureCompetition, February 2-5, '05

Ah, Wisconsin... By now we now a little of what to expect, as well as the names of many of the Bartenders in town. (Hi Dirt!).

It was exceptionally warm, as you can see by some of the photos. Three pieces went down before judging, but not ours. We carved each other in the act of carving each other. I'm the tall one, Adrian is 'in action', and Brooke is sorta kneeling sawing into my leg. It was so warm that we had to make Adrian and Brooke's 'tools' out of ice because the snow wouldn't work at the angles and overhangs we had planned.

We came in Second Place! That's the first time Vermont took home a trophy in the ten years it has participated in this event.

We don't have too many shots of the other pieces because Brooke thought I was taking them and I thougth he was taking them.

Clicking on a picture will open up that picture larger, and in a new window.
